It depends on what you consider by "achieve something here", although by the context provided in the OP I figure you partially mean ranking-up, and partially providing content that you feel comfortable enough with it being contributive.

You don’t have to be a technical guru, and often you can reply based on logic, and backed by some research (by that I mean contrast with some information source) to sustain the fundamentals of your arguments.

Actually, in terms of Merits/Activity, you’re not that bad off, and becoming a Member is more than most can achieve.
