Unsupported drivers?


I don't think so, other 5 cards in the same rig are hashing ok....
Maybe you write more about your config? Cards, system, drivers, command line? More strings from log? Before asking...


I have 6x radeon vii and today I have this error:

GPU1: Unable to set GPU clocks to 1775 MHz (Vddc 975 mv) - error -8

Temps seem ok, cclock and cvddc are low, power usage low and card is hashing at only 36 MH/s. I rebooted the system several times, checked settings but can't figure out why it happened all of a sudden.

Here is my startup parameter

Try to keep memory clock under 1100MHz, I keep mines at 1070MHz and core clock 1831MHz with 1000mV.  A little low hashrate but rock stable and SAFE!

Before that, I had 3 Radeon VII (Gigabyte, XFX and MSI) wich "sudden death" at one month interval and couple weeks too each other, just on simple manual system restart, not even restart in load, all 6 carda were in idle.

They had been used at 1060mV, 1900MHz Core and 1110MHz memory, it hangs randomly cards at couple days interval, unregulated.

Since I have lowered voltage (1060mV to 1000mV), core clock (1900MHz to 1831MHz) and memory clock (1110MHz to 1070MHz), I lose 3-4 MH per card but rock stable and safe.
