Someone recommended Exodus wallet to me but I think is best I ask questions before using it. Has anyone in the house has negative results or bad experience from Exodus wallet?

depends on what your definition of 'safe' is. Will your coins live their forever? Most likely, but is 'Most Likely' good enough for you? If you have a lot of coins and want to be safe, use a local hardware wallet OR paper wallet, locked in a safe.
