This is too common now, good percentage of projects are now adding an addendum to their whitepaper by introducing DeFi due to the success experienced this year. Some even derail from their initial concept and went fully into DeFi solution. Copycat will not last long but only those who have the original concept.
Agree with you, those who are insisting to incorporate defi will surely will be compromised. What if defi hype gone, maybe they will remove their feature of defi again and add whats gonna be the trend on coming years.
If you noticed the copy cats they are the one that keep pushing on thr idea of defi by showing enormous changes on their website, whitepaper and even creating additional feature to a complete set up platform.
Isn't it true that a product must follow the development of market demand? but their original product must still be consistent. may only be the operating system being updated, but their product should still run normally. I think there are still many projects that are consistent with what they made from scratch. but to attract the market I think it needs some updates that are currently busy in the market.
