I had same question to ask. I am not familiar with Discord much in fact I used Discord a year ago and using Telegram from last many years. But I would not suggest to use Telegram because of spams.

Does Discord allows you to send and receive cryptocurrencies?
and there are are not any other platforms instead of Discord or Telegram?
