Although Electrum is my go-to wallet, be wary of using older version of the wallet and always get your update directly from electrum.org
A user recently lost $16 million when a pop up from a scammer asked him to update his electrum wallet which led to his funds being stolen.
That story had no proofs but the claim from a github profile user that he lost using an old suspecious version of Electrum. I can't believe that someone who owns $16 million would fall in such a dumb mistake. However, it is always recommended to install client from official sources and always check the signature.
