Just spent some time crunching the numbers and the number of migrants (6 million) is the equivelant of the number of working age people in the UK that were classed as capable of work in 2017 (OK I didn't get the actual number but I took a third of all adults who were out of work which will do). I think Sweden is said to have a 16% migrant population so what's stopping the rest of the west from taking on more?

Eventually they will be forced to somehow attract migrants. Some projections shows that Balkan countries in the year 2100 will have half population as of right now. So unless they will offer good condition to migrants they will ignore them and move in other countries that will offer them better conditions. Second part of this century will be a huge fight for migrants. Countries that will not be successful at attraction them will become half empty and lose they strength a lot.
At the moment there only seemed to be 6 million refugees, however big that gets I don't think it'd be enough to have a massive impact.
I am not talking just of refugees but just anyone living on Earth. Population will start decline. Countries will start fight for migrants. They will need immigrants to stay relevant. It is totally impossible to keep relevance when your population halve. Or when you lose 1/3 of population as Bulgaria or Ukraine did in last 30 years. Do you think Russia would just attack Ukraine like they did if Ukraine would double its population in last 30 years instead of lose 1/3? I am sure Russians would think 2 times before doing it. Ukraine lost a lot of relevance in last 30 years.
Do you really think that population will start to decline? Look at the lockdowns. Millions of families/couples are locked down. Are they going to obey the social distancing policies of government? A few will be arrested for not obeying. But most of them don't have anything better to do than have sex.
Suppose they have kids? Many of them will love their kids. They will fight the lockdowns to get money to support their kids.
The thing that is happening is world population increase. I mean, king Bill Gates needs more people to support him in every way. Depopulation is a lie. But even if it isn't, Plan B is how to use the increasing population. After all, to be a king, you need more people to support you.
That is how it will happen. People simply dont have enough kids. Families have max 2 kids. But a lot have one or none. It is same all around the world. Countries with aggressive immigration policy like USA can attract enough people. Countries with none like Bulgaria or Ukraine already lost drastically. A lot other countries will now follow. Including China.
