Still the government needs revenue during this pandemic if the casino company has a license then it will be opened by following a very strict protocol, I am sure this must be a lot of enthusiasts because now many people are bored, so if the casino is opened again, the client will automatically enter to play. as long as it follows government regulations, in each country the casinos are permitted and some are not depending on their respective regions.

So far only the pandemic has stopped the licensed gambling industry and has seen some of them save on profit. Fortunately, industry and government are willing to work together to restart these activities according to health protocols.

Gambling activity is indeed very difficult to stop even during a pandemic because many gambler are very addicted and find it difficult to stop this activity. So complying with government regulation as well as health protocol is very important if the desire to gamble is difficult to control. Even though we are never short of online gambling site, physical casinos still have an visitors.

After pandemic the economy will stimulate just how we all want to be back to normal again. Giving more license for casino to start operating will likely provide employment to the people but I don't think this is going to be the priority of the government. There would be more brothels popping out than casinos combined because many will try to survive and the oldest job of antiquity will still have demands.

Japan legalized this job afaik. Maybe its time keep people alive then let them starve to death.

I think considering opening Casinos for providing jobs to youth would be the last option any stable government would consider Tongue

Their is an anti-globalization movement going around the world. Every country wants to be self sustainable and this would bring a decrement in the foreign cash reserve for every country. And gambling is a easier way of bringing foreign reserve for many countries. So, I believe most of the countries would make it easier for foreigner to come and bring money to gamble. Economic crisis would mostly affect the mid-level people increasing the gini coefficient so I don't see the number of gamblers decreased.

That being said you should not forget that most of the Gambling is done in cash which makes it much more difficult for government to account this money which in turn makes it more of a liability for them than turning it into an asset. Moreover I don't think this would help many countries because you won't obviously go to Africa for Gambling. So very few countries can look forward for this as an option and especially those who depend on tourism.
