Someone tried to inject some SQL code into the MASC databases. They failed, but they were able to wipe all the transactions from the table from the beginning of time. This causes a pretty big issue for the billing side of things and I've had to remove the point of exploit which was "Paying the old way". There is no plan to return this feature at this time. If you use the old way, please go to the new way and perform a test payment of 50 prx to ensure your account is credited with the funds before sending "large amounts".

I fired my PC up yesterday ready to do some MASC and PRX maintenance. Got taken away to do "1 thing" and I finished it today at 2pm haha. Everytime I try to put time aside for building/fixing, something gets in the way and then I see the price has circled 2/3 sats for weeks.

Why is the price low? Well, the MASC model was built to ensure our survival as a coin, here's where the biggest fault lies in my opinion.
The price per node should be 122 prx per node per day. Nodes were generating 40 prx per day.......node owners should have been "forced" to buy more PRX to pay their bill and this in turn raises the sat price, making the payments lower at MASC. The reduction in rate has caused this to become completely untenable.

The node price at MASC will increase today, to one dollar per month. If this is unacceptable for you to continue hosting your nodes with MASC, I understand and accept. MASC cannot continue to operate at these losses and sustain the hodl of coins, MASC has not sold coins but it is now functioning at a significant loss and unsustainable for the future. Servers will be discontinued as the capacity is much greater than the demand and the service will be fine-tuned to prevent mass setups. Anyone wishing to support MASC during this time, please credit your account using the LTC method. Anyone wishing to support Proxynode, topup with PRX.

Along with the SQL issue, I now have to try and recover the DB's values and correct everyone's balances which is a mammoth task to complete and I have to do all of this on my wife's birthday, she's less than impressed :smile:  I'm not letting PRX go down without a fight and not all customers have PRX nodes. Many will buy the coins in and that will increase our sats & Popularity. The old model wasn't working to increase our sat count, but it didn't let us fall this far either.
