I still cant believe they held these dumb international fixtures so soon before the start of the season. Still, we dont have long to wait until the real stuff returns. A very strange time, not just for sport.
It's going to be hectic for an entire year. Congested fixtures, and then other continental tournaments, all coming up to Euro 2021! I know Liverpool may well have to put off challenging on many fronts for yet another season because of squad depth (a lack of) so it will again be down to teams like City who have a lot of players to compete and allow some to rest in cup games.
Definitely might be seeing more youth players feature in EPL... and then one-time KO rounds in tourneys will become more and more common. Definitely a strange time!
