Yea they are easier to mine but more dangerous to keep for long term, most new coins are pump and dump, I recommend mining new coins that are trading and once you have enough do not hesitate to sell off or just change to other popular coins, for me I'd prefer mining Ethereum or ETC since Ethash is the most profitable right now.
