Is there a storage limit for videos hosted there?
What about if illegal content is posted?
There should be some server hosting it right? What if that server is shutdown? What will happen to those archives? Because wherever you put it, you need some sort of storage facility.
The video is hosted in a distributed manner across the network. If you download the LBRY desktop software, your device is acting as one of these "nodes" that stores whats called "blurbs" (parts) of the video on your computer. Whenever you watch a video from the desktop client you are supporting the network. --- Soon nodes will be rewarded for their contribution to the network based upon their hard drive space.
Its distributed across many computers so there is no way to shut it down, similar to how theres no way to shut down all the Bitcoin miners. Unless the power or internet should go out across the world...thats a different story. But even then, when the power came back on the blockchain would sort itself back out.
