India has banned bitcoin before and lifted the ban again but right now they are reconsidering banning cryptocurrency again but according to the crypto exchange executives in the article(link below) is that a blanket ban on cryptocurrency is unlikely to happen. this article is the latest I could find regarding India and their stance on cryptocurrency
