I'm using LBRY too and you are right, as long as there are nodes it is on. Plus it is a bit better then Youtube when it comes to controling your content, you can put a price that user needs to pay in LBRY in order to be able to watch your content. So if you build a good portfolio and users love your content it can be a good alternative to Youtube.
That was sweet but and I thought it works out the same on the monetization of YouTube wherein users wouldn't have to pay for watching instead some advertisers paying for the content creators because of ads they put.

It’s possible to earn more here than in YouTube?
Is the PeakD website also using LBRY?
I think the real issue isn't even about earning but archive. What does it profit anyone if they earn but later their contents are deleted? I will go for archive, any day any time. It keeps history refreshed and such could also be used as educative materials. Well, if this happens and things are placed on the blockchain they're a lot of sects that won't like it because it will help keep their exposed deals permanently indelible on the internet. Criminals and corrupt politicians in Africa won't like this tech.
Well, to be realistic people most of the time only cares on how they can monetized everything, that's an extreme fact. Archiving isn't that bad though but there are other archiving sites that do this that even have to pay just to watch the contents.

They are considering adding options for advertisers as well, so creators will have the option of earning from AD revenue down the road as well just like YouTube.

No the videos are stored in a manner similar to how Bittorent works but its improved in many ways. They are not stored in the blockchain itself. The videos are distributed and can not be deleted unless all the hosts are taken out --- Think of LBRY as Bittorent upgrade + blockchain.
