Dust attacks isn't really a thing. There is nothing forcing you to ever spend the dust, so as long as you know how to properly manage your wallet and not include dust in your transactions, there is no harm.
Linking a Bitcoin address to your username doesn't seem unsafe to me and you could always use a new address for this single task.
The idea behind Bitcoin isn't to be anonymous.
I'm asking users to publish a signed message for their own educational purpose, providing them with merit as a reward for doing so.
