Without Hazlewood, Australia could have easily lost this match. All the other bowlers were expensive, while Hazlewood conceded less than 3 runs per over in a match where the average run rate was almost double that figure. In two months, Australia will be playing a test match against Afghanistan. I expect Hazlewood to be included in the playing XI, along with Starc and Cummins.
Zampa bowled economically but he was taken for runs in the final overs when England were trying to go for boundaries and so is the case with Cummins as he gave away 15 runs in the 27th over and another 15 runs in the 49th over. Against Afghanistan i am sure Australia will be resting some of the key players.
