ico isn't dead yet but in my opinion that offering model is only helped because the DeFi trend is no more than that, and if this year DeFi didn't become a hype, ICO would have been rarely used, for avalanche itself the project doesn't need DeFi hype considering the project has investors who was very enthusiast because the concept of the project was very good.
