TPS is not about how fast transactions take. TPS is one part of how much blockchain can scale. How many transactions they can have per second or per day or per month.  Most blockchain transactions are instant. Confirmation takes seconds or minutes.   But for small trades confirmations are not needed, specially in smaller communities where people know each other.
