Whenever we see a lot of transactions passing through the network we have seen a trend of increasing fees. It usually happens during a sharp rise or fall of bitcoin price. Lot of charts are available in the internet so go ahead and check a few of them.
If we don't move to LN, bitcoin fees will only go up with more adoption.
