LBC didn't asked me selfie for tier 1 verification but I completed it before the new tier system was implemented so not sure about how they are doing now, if you have no other choice then better give it a try.
But on LBC you just need to take a selfie while no need to hold anything.
Now LBC policy changes they asking for some very long procedure for this all just check their site and read all about this too many members already delete their accounts on LBC and using alternative for this all because they announces they have to implement this all because now European Union is bringing some stick policies for these sites and companies so if someone cannot follow this then he can delete his account from here.But on LBC you just need to take a selfie while no need to hold anything.
