According to your plan, i would suggest you to combine between GPU, CPU and ASIC.
@philipma1957  has mentioned about the GPU. As long your monthly income not depend 100% from mining. Mining ETH and ETC still profitable (especially ETH had Defi). . While ASIC you can allocate them for mining BTC. For CPU, Imo, there's 2 project that, imo, will be shine in future, coin called ARWEAVE and Mochimo. But i would prefer Arweave.
Btw don't forget. Mining is one of investment type. Always calculate operational cost first.
