Perhaps not. Proper hygiene does not include locking down people, and destroying economies.
Of course the law should be a bit more nuanced than that. I don't think you should have to wear a mask if you aren't in a public area around lots of strangers. But if you are, just have the common fucking courtesy to wear the mask.
