Good Question, Zero affiliation with Kimchi.finance...  I think you will find that disclaimer hopefully everywhere we have launch copy (I hope) - no disrespect to that team intended by that.

Sushi is different in the fact that it uses Uniswap code and or is a fork of Uniswap.

The only similarity we have to Sushiswap is that we are a swap protocol, however the key difference between us and Uniswap, Sushiswap etc, is that we have designed our own protocol coding, we are not operating off a Uniswap base or fork.  We will also have layer 2 scaling implemented in the short term to combat the scaling issues of ETH and to assist in reducing transactional gas fees.
