A bulls eye on your back is what it is. "Prestige" of being trolled relentlessly, particularly if you happen to have an opinion and not just sit quietly hugging the DT1 badge 
If you are actively defending the wrongdoing, constantly working to protect the innocents from the bad guys, working hard to keep the community safe you will be picked by those who are not getting benefit from it or is not able to walk away freely because of you. They will troll you and will do whatever they can to stop you. Being in the DT1 or DT2 network is not a matter for them.Point is, trolls will troll you, haters will hate you even when you are not doing anything, your position does not matter for them.
