Bitcoin has always been intended as a method of securely transferring funds online (especially when making purchases) so there will always be those of use who will use bitcoin for what it is intended - to securely send funds (not as a method of storing wealth, or for making a quick buck on the overnight market)
In near future do not see anything where suddenly we realize that bitcoin will become worthless which just means that nobody in the world will use it. Because till we have people demand and supply price will always be there for bitcoin and as it is also a market leader and king of all coins. And yes, it is one of the best thing to transfer money from one part to another so this will continue to happen.
