Centralized wallet usually more convenient than decentralized wallet.
On centralized wallet, you can have more than 1 coin there, such as btc, eth, xrp, usdt, all in your single account.
Using decentralized wallet is secure, but it needs more knowledge to use it so we can manage our wallets effectively.
I agree about it as they are company that offers a service too which is we have no choice but to use them as a wallet too. Very convenient to use but if you're a very conservative person and you think that your funds are at risk with them, don't use them.
It's fair to use them but with limited amounts but if you will use them for long term just as holding it for years, they are not advisable.
