I guess if politicians are open to this kind of business maybe they will be into this, why? because if they keep their money into crypto who will know that they have this kind of investment, an amount keep from the eye of tax payers, first of all there is no way to trace your transactions point to your name due to its special features. So maybe there are lots of officials who are into this who works silently, who knows they might be one of the big whales around. 
I think some politicians are open to bitcoin, and they invest some money in bitcoin too. But they don't tell their friends because they don't want to get trouble. Or they use bitcoin as the investment from the other sources' income, so they don't pay the more taxes. We don't know the truth, and we can only guess if the politicians buy bitcoin or they don't care about bitcoin.
