This was possible in 2014 but not now. The difficulty for solo mining is too high.
but it was mine-able then - right? now its all POS there is no mining pools to mine it any more are there?
regardless of difficulty - if its mine-able it would still be possible even with the near impossibility due to diff.
dmd v1 2013 was pow/pos hybrid it was mineable with scrypt algo
dmd v2 2014 was pow/pos hybrid it was mineable with groestl algo
dmd v3 2017 is pos/masternode it is not mineable
dmd v4 2021 will be honeybadger/posdao it is not mineable
that I understand - my curiosity is about the mining from the wallet/node. I realize that the coin is POS now so should not be mineable at all but it actually still functions thru the node. would think the commands would be removed. I thought it funny that it was still putting a decently heavy load on my cpu almost 78%
