Even the Porsche Taycan is $100k in the US which makes a $200k car an absolute overkill.
That is an awesome car but I think a large part of the Tesla idea might be the supercharger network and how that especially in USA solves the gap between towns. Maybe Tesla 2nd prize next draw who knows :p I saw Musk's last vid on battery tech, I like the advances they are making somehow it feels like it will benefit all eventually.
Well, I don't live in the US (for now) so to me, the moment Porsche entered the game it was over for Tesla. I remember I was damn hyped for model3 but then you know what happened Elon just couldn't deliver his promises.
All around a Porsche Taycan is far better than anything Tesla can and will produce in the next 100 years. That's only my opinion.
There was a long type of discussion about why would anyone pick the car over money and it was decided that the only person who would pick car would be super rich to begin with in order to not need the 200k at all, which means he has to have millions of dollars just in assets let alone income should be very high as well so it is very vital that they would be not only rich but very wealthy as well.
Secondly they need to be a bit car lover as well, there are rich people who do not love super cars at all, they are fine with a regular car, obviously you could pick something like a bullet proof maybach or whatever even if you do not like fast cars, but there are many who drive regular cars even if they are rich. So if the person is super rich and also loves super fast cars they may pick the car, that’s it.
