Really? I thought he still had some sort of serious pull as far as the forum is concerned (though I'll admit I don't keep a close eye on forum politics). How long has it been since Cobra hasn't been "associated" with bitcointalk?
I don’t think the bitcointalk account can be turned into a good marketing tool, although I agree that posting news on twitter would be useful.
News about what, though? It's not like there's a hell of a lot going on here that deserves a tweet. Plus, IMO Twitter is a piece of shit social media tool that does humanity more harm than good.
I'd be just fine if bitcointalk had no Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media presence. Its very existence is enough for me, and those other sites are just extraneous distractions.
