I disagree. As an anime fan, Kakegurui is the best for me than Kaiji. I didn't watch it yet but I've read it's plot and manga. Kakegurui just simply tells us that gambling should be that way, in a funnier way even if you lost, you don't have to take it seriously like you're gonna lose your mind for feeling like a real professional gambler whenever you have a loss. It's about having fun all the time because why bother being sad when you already lost the bet.
But that's just my opinion, about the anime we're talking about here.
Kaiji does the tension real good though, the suspense each time Kaiji plays because his life literally depends on that game. There was an episode where the life of his friends are the one at stake. I think Kaiji has a good pull when it comes to raw emotion, it really puts you a sense of dread and at the same time pity for Kaiji's state.
