Decentralized trading exchanges offer much more security, but it is also associated with a more cumbersome handling, which leads many to continue to prefer centralized exchanges. Furthermore, exchanges like Uniswap are extremely ecosystem bound, like on Ethereum. If the network is overloaded and fees are increasing, trading can be extremely slow and expensive. The goal should therefore be to build Atomic Swaps exchanges, as Komodo project is trying to do.
