Think about it. If you truly respect the fears of others, what are you really respecting? Aren't you respecting them and their opinions? Do you really think that it is the best idea to succumb to their stupidity to respect them?
Certainly you don't go and call them "stupid" to their face. But you also don't lay down the truth to be trampled on by their stupidity.
At Walmart today, there are more and more people going without masks. Walmart has opened their other door, which they had closed to regulate the people. They still have a guy at the entrances to offer masks to those who want. But they are not counting any longer, to limit the number of people in the store. And they certainly never really required masks.
So, absolutely, be kind to people. But more important, be kind to the truth.

I'm kind but I'm also following the orders of our government. To be kind is to obey what does the protocol says.
As soon as they tell that it's fine to remove masks, then that's it. But as long as there's no orders, I will follow the rules. I don't want to get a sanction just because of it.
There's an appropriate punishment if you break the rule which is to not wear masks.
