if you study people's reaction to bitcoin anonymity,is not attractive, however it is no more considered to be anonymous. Recently an agency put up some fund to break the privacy of monero, although privacy feature has not produce any outstanding profit for investor recently and the value had relied on bitcoin price movement for a while now. Bitcoin is not considering improving its privacy.

It is not directly anonymity as Bitcoin provides the freedom for the users to choose whether to remain anonymous or not. How could I say that? Even if you are using Bitcoin for your transactions, whenever time comes that you conduct KYC to an address and use it even with single transaction, you are not anonymous at all. So the freedom here is to not associating bitcoin with your traditional finance, or to withdraw funds and take this freedom away from you. Though you can use mixers to completely cut the track for people to figure out that you are the owner of such wallets. For me, it is just not so user friendly to use mixers as it consumes a very huge fee, on top of the huge fee from bitcoin itself.
