You can skip it --> It has been years since the merit system was introduced to tackle the spam.
With projects popping out every day, users interaction increased dramatically.
Thanks to bots and other people looking for quick money. In some time it became a major problem on bitcointalk.
Users posting spam, offtopic replies from multiple accounts to earn quick bucks and promoting scam projects everywhere on forum.
At that time, the Merit system came in rescue to limit spam and account farming.

My concern is not spam or account farming[We have already tackled it in the best way possible].

Read from here --> I'm concerned about the meta board, I have always thought it is a platform to talk about the forum, announcements, issues, problems, complaints, suggestions, etc.
After the introduction of the Merit system, it is being used to publish stats of the system. Meta board is full of them and I guess it is time to stop.

Although, these posts are amazing and help us get stats that are interesting to know. The merit system is matured enough that we don't need those stats now.
There are nearly more than 10+ posts on page 1 at the time of writing this.
