It shouldn't cause any slowdown as all the images are lazy loaded, they only load when in view.
There are probably fewer players who are annoyed with 10 to 20 games to click through than players who are overwhelmed seeing the number of games in one page. There's like hundreds of them in your site. Perhaps you should only show the top games in your home page and let players search for the others. You should put your search feature at the very top by the way. It's more annoying to see it at the middle.
