when i asked some peeps this qst too, i was told to use bittrex. so i am just gona tell you also to use bittrex though am yet to try it.
This is really good and trustful exchange platform. Bittrex is my favourite exchange at least when i wanna trade everyday. OP can try this exchange i hope this platform very comfortable for there who want progress trade. However worldwide there are many popular platform which top rank with good performance.
I agree with you that bittrex is really good. But I'm pretty sure the top starter question is wrong. I think so, because there cannt be a best exchange for trading in principle. Each exchanger has its own characteristics and tools. Of course they are different. It makes even more sense that these tools are suitable for some traders and completely inappropriate for others. In nature, there cannt be a perfect tool, including a best exchange. Everything is individual. My preferences are binance and bittrex. This is my choice and will not necessarily coincide with the opinions of others. By the way, here
