No reason.. if anyone would like to host a channel, get a chanserve up (or whatever the equivalent of that is these days), i'd be happy to join.  Admittedly i haven't used IRC much in.. around 20 years or so.. but oh man do i have some fun stories from 20 years ago with netsplit, eggdrop bots wars on efnet... those were the days...
