Yes. it can work. and it's working already. there are some projects indeed offering profits from their real business to their token holders. I've saw a real estate company doing it like that. and I've read about a mining farm and a waste management firm to do that as well.
so yes. if you think you can do a tokensale and raise funds to build a real project and then share profit with the token holders. it can work.
