As far as I remember, in the past, newbies could still use a signature with a few character limitations. However, due to the following reasons, the newbie can no longer use a signature or personal text.
Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted. Also, newbies can no longer set any signature or personal text. -snip-
And if there is a newbie who still wants to use the signature, then the option is to become a copper member.
