Yup, I do agree with you. This is the best way, though not readily available especially for some who finds it hard having a girlfriend. But I don't think this is the only way.

Try to lessen the frequency of doing the act. If you do it multiple times a day, change it to once a day. If you do it everyday, try doing it every other day. I must tell you that this will require some degree of controlling yourself. It may even take some practice, some may say.

Distract yourself. Find some other things to focus on like games, activities, socializing with friends or family members. I do recommend socializing, because there is no happier moment that socializing, such as chatting with friends or family members, and meeting new friends. You can also do activities that you like, doing hobbies, solving math problems, building ship models, or posting in bitcointalk.

Avoid things that makes you think about doing it. If bringing a phone to the shower makes you do it, then don't. If seeing sexy pictures makes you think of it, then hide it. It's because your mind takes control over your body. I see that you don't want to do it but you still do it because you let yourself do it. I know it makes little sense, but it may actually be the reason.

Find a girlfriend, or at least a girl friend. So, yeah. Find one. Trust @semobo. Trust me. But you don't just hop on her right the moment you find her. You will have to pursue her (romantically ofc), do some efforts to make her love you, all of which will require patience but gives constant excitement in return. And when I say constant excitement, it's like getting to climax without actually hitting climax. NOW THAT"S BETTER. Doing all these made you so busy and focused on her that you haven't j*acked off for a month now and it looks like she really does like you. She now brings you to her parents because she really loves you. It's a win-win.
