I must say this project is actully very very ambitious, if the team can make it work it will be a total game changer for the entire industry. I expect a crazy growth of the network, base on the stats it is growing very fast, more than 4000 nodes now, incredible. 
Actually there are 4722 valid identities.
As for the "crazy growth" of the network, I doubt it, since the reward is getting smaller and smaller with the network growth, so many will leave. Maybe this will change in the future since we are on a semi-mainnet (semi-testnet) phase.
