No, I think this guy is correct. I have a reason to say that. Previously I was faced same issue then I lost my btc. Actually he was not any trusted escrow provider. Moreover I can say Bitcoin talk should expand a escrow system from menu option. User easily can make escrow based deal. What do you think,?
