Kryptokrona is a decentralized blockchain based on CryptoNote, which forms the basis for Monero, among others.
CryptoNote is a so-called “application layer” protocol that enables things like: private transactions, messages and arbitrary data storage, completely decentralized.
On 2 April 2019, the platform was launched in part as a response to the Riksbank’s digital e-krona for the people’s right to create money and to safeguard the private economy without either commercial or state control.

Is kryptokrona safe?Using kryptokrona means that you take care of your money yourself. Kryptokrona can be stored in a wallet file on your computer or as a paper wallet for longer term savings.
The source code that is kryptokrona is based on the same technology as Monero (XMR).
This is to minimize the risk of vulnerabilities and guarantee private transactions.

What does XKR mean?XKR is an abbreviation of the cryptocurrency name. XKR is simply a ticker just like BTC, SEK or USD.
What is the supply?When all coins have been created through so-called mining, the total number is one trillion, that is, thousands of billions.
By 2050, 99% of cryptocurrencies will be created.
Why did you create a nordic cryptocurrency?We believe that a local blockchain solves many of the problems that many other projects have today.
Challenges such as upscaling, number of transactions, block chain size and project general consensus can be facilitated by a more focused market with local users.
What is CryptoNote?CryptoNote is an Application Layer Protocol that aims to encrypt all transactions in the block chain with ring signatures.
One of the advantages of this is that it obfuscates both senders, receivers and the amount sent through the chain, which makes it impossible for outsiders to dedicate who did what.
Hugin Messenger
What is Hugin?Hugin is a messaging service where messages are stored on the kryptokrona blockchain. Your messages are secured with industry leading encryption so that only you and your chat partner have the possibility to read them. The purpose is not to store any personal information about the users, unlike most apps and social media.
InstallationUnzip and open the executable file in the .zip file that you can download here:
In Windows, you install Hugin Messenger with the exe file and in Linux it automatically installs the wallet, and opens immediately when the installation is complete.
In OSX, you need to move hugin-messenger.app to the Applications folder and then approve the application in security settings in order to run it.

Hugin Messenger MacOS .]Hugin Messenger Windows First startWhen you first start Hugin Messenger, you are greeted by a welcome screen that creates a new account for you.
Now you are soon ready to start using Hugin, but first you need to transfer some coins to your account
Hugin addressesAt the top of the app you can see your Hugin address. The address has two parts, a common kryptokrona address used to transmit coins, and then a message key needed to send messages.
When transferring coins to your account you are only interested in the “Payment address” section.
If you want to chat with a friend, you can click the “COPY” to copy both parts, which you then send to your chat partner.
Transfer XKRWhen transferring coins to your account you are only interested in the “Payment address” section. Copy this and transfer from your wallet.
A message costs 0.01 XKR to send plus 0.1 XKR in mining fee. In total, a message costs 0.11 XKR.
So 1000 XKR is enough for almost 10,000 messages.
In the picture you see that it says 0 (+1000). This means the money is on its way, but not yet confirmed. Wait a minute until it only says 1000, then you’re ready to start using Hugin Messenger!
Send messagesTo send a message, click the + sign at the search field and enter your recipient’s hugin or xkr.se address. If the address is correct, two green check marks appear, one at the recipient address and one at the message key.
Now, just chat!
Wallet
InstallationUnpack and open the runnable file in the .zip file you can download here:
In Windows you install the wallet with the exe file and in Linux the wallet gets installed automatically and opens when the installation is complete.
In OSX you need to move kryptokrona-wallet.app to the applications folder and allow it in the safety settings to run it.
First startHere you can either open an existing wallet-file or create a new wallet.
The wallet files generated from the old desktop wallet and the terminal wallet are not compatible, but need to be re-imported with a seed or a private key.
In this guide we will cover how to create a new wallet, so we’ll click on Create a New Wallet
Create an accountNow your wallet has been generated and you see your address “SEKR…” and a unique identicon which is a graphical representation of your address.
Click Next to continue.
PasswordNow it’s time to choose a password to encrypt the local wallet file with, confirm the password and press Next to continue.
BackupHere’s the important part, with your mnemonic seed you can restore the wallet, making it the ultimate backup for your wallet. It is important that you write it down and store it safely, to avoid losing your Kryptokrona.
Press Copy to Clipboard and then Next to continue.
Double checkHere you paste your seed to make sure you’ve saved it, giving you the opportunity to save your wallet file.
Click “Save Wallet As” to continue.

SaveGive the wallet-file a fitting name, select folder and click save.
Log inWhen you’re done you’re greeted by the log in screen.
Here you write the password you chose to encrypt the wallet with and press Login to continue.
StartAll your transactions will be displayed here.
Your balance is shown in the yellow box on the top of the screen.
The menu with all icons is displayed to the left.
SendIf you press the Send icon you can send transactions by giving a SEKR address, amount to be transferred and eventually a payment ID. Just click send to confirm the transaction, and it’ll be sent to the Kryptokrona network where it’ll be confirmed in the blockchain within 90 seconds.
ReceivePress the Receive icon to see your receive address, create integrated addresses and to get a unique QR code for your SEKR address.
Contact listClick the contacts list icon to access your contacts list. Here you can add contacts by clicking the icon below the yellow box.
Add a contact by typing a name, SEKR address and eventually a payment ID and press the save icon
TransactionsWhen you’ve receieved your first transaction it will be displayed in the welcome screen.
