Very disapointing too : in the Zcoin forum, the community was clearly not for this rebranding.
I was asking about this on Discord, because IMO it's very important to speak with the community, even for centralized project and specially for decentalized, but they told me there was talk about this:
Actually - there were discussions about the need to rebrand for well over a year - the final name was chosen by the team - since every time they tried to do it by consensus on the forum some idiot would buy the domain name and spoil any plans.
