I just tried day trading in eth and the price fluctuations which happens continuously is something where we can make profit in daily basis, guys from today morning to evening I could have earned nearly 15 to 20$. Buying low and selling in a reasonable profit, again when it comes to my price I use to buy and sell for a reasonable margin this will work only if there's continuously fluctuation, just have a try and make daily profit.
The current 24 hours high/low shows that ETH is only having about $15 - $20 of fluctuation in it's price and even the weekly high/low is only about $40 of difference in price.
Though this means that we need to have a good amount as a capital investment to earn daily profits of $15 - $20.
I guess at least $500 will be needed to earn $15 - $20 of daily profit. I think it would be better to choose some other altcoin with better volatility to earn profits in daily trading.
May be trading XRP, LTC etc.. woul yield higher profits in daily trading.
