Honestly guys I wouldn't normally make fun of these tiny little inconsequential groups of people, in this case the Dutch gov/central bank, not understanding tf how bitcoin works, but when it takes the good guy from Microsoft to tell you how to bitcoin, well, it's quite amusing.

Bitcoin is a bearer asset.  It is a bearer asset by the nature of its design.
The god of Bitcoin commands, you shall keep safe your private keys.  An ye lose your private keys, the god of Bitcoin shall curse ye.  An ye let your private keys be stolen, the god of Bitcoin shall bless the thief and curse ye.
—“Not your keys, not your coins.”—

All “KYC/AML” nonsense, including the tracking of the source and destination of funds, attempts to change Bitcoin from a bearer asset into an identity-based asset.

The only way to achieve that is to universally enforce “KYC” via miner blacklisting and transaction censorship, and to make some way to rollback transactions (in the manner of an “irregular state change”) which, to my knowledge, has not been seriously proposed for Bitcoin.
