If she is powerful and influential then maybe she can use her power to sway the Senate to become pro-bitcoin. However, it is a long shot and I doubt that she will do that. I think letting her colleagues know that she is pro-bitcoin or pro blockchain is enough already.

I think you misunderstood. Bitcoin as payment method is already healthier, we don't need someone to influence people, it's either you are pro-bitcoin or no-coiner. It's either you understand what bitcoin can bring, store of value, speculative asset or payment scheme, or you are still in denial of this crypto revolution.
