That's not necessarily a bad thing, I have accounts like that on a few (specialized) forums. I only go there if I need to know something.

This case seemed to me as unusual as the activity of another account [I can't remember the username], user statistics indicated only 300 posts, while there were 3000 merits. So one thing could happen in this case, maybe the user came back a months or a few months ago but did not make any post. And if the user come months ago then generally maybe the duration of displaying such notification is expaired.
I guess I agree, this could be a reasonable explanation (came back a few months ago but haven't posted anything yet). But in any case, it is not yet possible to check online intervals.
