It's literally as it is. In 114 cases out of 10000 = in every 1.14 attempt of 100. In other words you have a little more than 1% chance to win big prize each time you try. Surely, the chance is small, but we are used to uderstimate rare cases. When little chance is multiplied by many attemps it becomes inevitable. Although the chance to die in plane crash is minor, if only we were living thousands we all would have died because of that. And - while trying hard every day - win lotteries too!
